About 11% of American adults who have had COVID-19 reported in January 2023 of having experienced Long COVID symptoms, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. That equates to 25 million people in the U.S., or 7.5% of the U.S. population. These people are referred to colloquially as long-haulers, and may experience a range of symptoms that might persist for weeks, months or years.
